About Meditation Taster course

In this free training, we'll start with the question 'Why Meditate?' and explore some of the main reasons people choose to bring meditation and mindfulness into their lives. Learn about the ABCs of meditation (Attention, Balance and Clarity); these are the building blocks of your practice, and we'll be spending plenty of time going into them in more depth. Not only does meditation require focus on these skills within formal practice, it also makes you better equipped to transfer them into your day-to-day life.
In order understand what meditation is, it's also important to have a good idea of what it's not about. That's why we'll spend some time in this section of the course debunking a lot of the myths and misconceptions that people have about meditation.

About the Teacher

Filipe Bastos

MindOwl Founder - My own struggles in life have led me to this path of understanding the human condition. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy before completing a master’s degree in psychology at Regent’s University London.  I then completed a postgraduate diploma in philosophical counselling before being trained in ACT (Acceptance and commitment therapy).
I've spent the last eight years studying the encounter of meditative practices with modern psychology.
